Privacy policy
Thai Sports Resort and Yaowarate Sports Club protect personal data in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019), the PDPA, and other privacy laws that apply.
1. Data we collect
- Identity data: full name, passport or national ID number, nationality, date of birth.
- Contact data: email address, telephone number, emergency contact details.
- Athletic and health data, when a team or guest provides it: dietary requirements, allergies, medical clearance notes and physiotherapy requests.
- Financial data: card details, billing address, bank transfer receipts.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and how you use our website.
- Security data: CCTV footage recorded in common areas of the resort.
2. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To perform our contract with you: reservations, group bookings, transport, accommodation and catering.
- Legitimate interests: security (CCTV), facility maintenance, quality checks and fraud prevention.
- Legal obligations: Thai immigration reporting, including TM.30 notifications for foreign guests, and tax record keeping.
- Your explicit consent: marketing messages, and use of health or dietary data to prepare athletic meal plans.
3. Transfers outside Thailand
For visiting international teams, guest information may pass between the team's home organisation and our reservation system. We make sure any transfer abroad meets the protection standards required by the PDPA.
4. Retention and security
- We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as Thai tax and hospitality law requires, typically 5 to 10 years.
- CCTV footage is overwritten after 30 days unless it is needed for an incident investigation.
- We use organisational, technical and physical measures to protect data against unauthorised access or loss.
5. Your rights
Under the PDPA you have the right to:
- Access your personal data and obtain a copy.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Have your data erased or destroyed when we no longer need it.
- Object to or restrict processing, including for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before.
